The Spoon welcomes you to come check out our resource table during Treaty Week at the cafe. You will find maps, stories, and information regarding the Treaty 20, Williams Treaty region.
On Monday, November 4th at 10 am we invite you to a drop-in colouring event at the Spoon. Local and indigenous artist, Star Daughter Woman created this map of the Treaty 20 area for the Spoon, and we want to share it with you. If you cannot make the drop in event, come by anytime during this week and bring home your own colouring sheet.
On Tuesday, November 5th we are hosting our first Community Meal of the season! This is a pwyc, first come first serve event at the Spoon cafe. We will be serving a delicious, vegetarian feast and invite you to stay to listen to the work and words of Chloe Maracle, from the Kenhteke Seed Sanctuary from Tyendinaga. This event will be a fundraiser for the Kenhteke Seed Sanctuary, and any contribution towards their endeavors is appreciated. We will accept cash or card for this.
There is no need to register for either of these events and we hope that everyone feels welcome to join us!
