The Seasoned Spoon and Trent Vegetable Gardens are celebrating the harvest with Grandfather’s Kitchen!
Wednesday, October 4, 2023 - 5:00pmHarvest season is upon us, and gardeners at the TVG and cooks at the Seasoned Spoon are busy digging, hauling, chopping, freezing and storing the abundance so that we can continue to offer the Trent community delicious, locally-grown meals!
Did you know that the Spoon and the Trent Vegetable Gardens form a field-to-table food system right here on campus? Veggies grown in the gardens are brought to the cafe and cooked into soups, stews, wraps, and even desserts. The ingredients are fresh, and you can taste the difference!
Despite the busy time of year, we are going to take a moment to celebrate all the things and people that have made this season so fruitful, and we invite you to join us!
Gathering at the Trent Vegetable Gardens on Wednesday, Oct. 4th at 5 pm for a free meal in collaboration with Grandfather’s Kitchen. Food is free, and donations are welcome.
